Family Visit!

August 8th Bill & Ashlea drove up from Wichita Falls to visit us! They are our cousins from Kelly’s side. We ate at Old Chicago the first night and had a great time hanging out! Then it was home to watch the Olympics. We found out they are Olympic fanatics too! We watched every event we could. Shopping was on the agenda next! Wow they showed us how to find great deals. Bricktown followed with a quick stop at Bass Pro for some candy of all things (for a baby shower) and then the Bricktown Brewery. Of course me, being on a diet, asked for the nutritional info, which they didn’t have. And after nicely asking the waitress for her input on what was healthy she politely said “Well nothing here is really healthy”… So everyone ordered great food while I ate half a chicken sandwich cooked without butter! Bless his heart Kelly being the supportive husband split it with me! Eating out is hard on a diet! After that it was back home to make it in time to see Michael Phelps race in the 4x100m Medley. It was such a great race we were all screaming and no one was sitting! We attended worship service together on Sunday. After lunch at the Killian grill, I headed to a baby shower while the other 3 headed to Staples in search of more good deals! And boy did they find some. Free glue, cheap computer paper, etc. I’m still amazed at the deals those 2 find! Shortly before our Home Group meeting they left to return to Wichita Falls! It was a great weekend full of laughs and bonding! Too bad they don’t live closer!
